Lining
Often associated with huge corporate spaces. In such large spaces, it is very useful. It adds charm, to subdued business spaces. It is also convenient to clean on a daily basis. In the home, carpet works best in the children's room. It cushions against falls and acts as a pleasant insulation from the cold floor where children spend most of their time playing.
Carpeting is also suitable for the bedroom or living room, i.e. rooms where we often go barefoot and will ensure pleasant contact with our skin. Its main advantage is that it can hide the flaws of the floor. If you also have a problem with creaking parquet floors, a carpet will effectively quiet them.
We have a wide selection of carpets in terms of material, pile length, patterns and colours. There are two popular types of carpet: carpet and PVC. The first type has longer and softer pile, suitable for children's rooms and bedrooms. The second type is PVC flooring which is stronger, stiffer and sometimes has anti-slip properties. It is ideal for covering the space in anterooms or corridors where it may come into more frequent contact with dirt or moisture.
The main disadvantage of carpeting is the complicated installation. It covers the whole room so we have to get rid of all the furniture in the room so that we have free access to the floor. Then we have to measure the room carefully, taking into account all the irregularities, walls, angles and bends. We will mount the carpet to the floor with special tapes or glue, which will be an additional cost.
Carpets
Carpets are most often chosen for the representative rooms of the house, i.e. the living rooms. They accentuate the interior design and warm up a piece of the chosen space. They can be in subdued colours and give a background to the other furniture in the room or, on the contrary, stand out with their colours, pattern and material and form the centre of the lounge area. Some are true works of art, the intricate patterns and delicate silk fabric will add elegance to any interior.
The biggest unquestionable advantage of carpets is their mobility. We can change its position at any time, styling our room in any way we want. There is no need for complicated rearrangement of furniture and uncovering from the floor as with carpeting. The ability to easily move a carpet also proves its worth when it comes to cleaning, of course.
The most fashionable type at the moment are fur rugs with longer pile. There is also a choice of hand-knotted carpets made from natural fibres and synthetic carpets, recommended for allergy sufferers. Small rugs are also suitable for difficult dirty rooms such as the kitchen or bathroom. They will effectively warm up the chosen part of the floor and provide the comfort of quick and easy cleaning.
What better suited to your interior?
At the outset, you need to consider which floor covering will suit your interior. The first thing to consider is aesthetics. If you have nice laminate, an elegant wooden floor or a parquet floor, it would be a shame to cover it completely with a carpet. If you have a nice floor, it's better to highlight just a section of it with a stylish carpet. If, on the other hand, the floor is not perfect, a carpet will hide the flaws.
Secondly, functionality must be considered. A carpet will cover the whole room uniformly and protect us from stepping on a cold floor. However, it can be problematic when it comes to cleaning, as it has to be placed under every piece of furniture without being able to be lifted at any time. For this reason, carpets are irreplaceable when it comes to cleaning. We can remove them ourselves, take them to the laundry or shake them out.
