About the project
What strikes the eye immediately is the thoughtful consistency of style. Minimalist furniture in a light grey and natural palette, warm wood, geometric herringbone flooring and clearly defined black construction lines form the base. But this is only the foundation. On top of this, organic modern elements flourish - numerous plants (in pots, on shelves and in hanging compositions), natural light seeping through the bamboo blinds, earthy colours and pastel accents. The icing on the cake are three Japanese prints by Katsushika Hokusai, suspended above the subtle built-ins, which introduce oriental reflection and a zen spirit.
This flat is personal. Not just beautiful, but real. The separate but completely open visual area with the bikes says one thing: here lives someone who loves nature and conquers it on two wheels. The carefully designed wooden bicycle display wall becomes a lifestyle manifesto.
The living room, with its bright, soft sofa in bleached mint, envelops household members and guests with its cosiness. Shades of yellow - in accessories, bicycles and crockery - bring in positive energy. The open kitchen with an island and plant shelves above the worktop is the real heart of the home - functional yet decorative. Instead of a TV, you'll find original graphics and nature on the wall - a deliberate choice that promotes conversation, concentration and tranquillity. Occasionally, when it's time for a movie or a shared viewing, the housemates set up a projector - minimalism meets technology, but only when it's really worth it.
A mint fabric wall panel, juxtaposed with warm wood and natural light, creates a relaxation area close to the ideal. A large graphite bed with cushions in shades of blue and beige and plants arranged on shelves and the windowsill enhance the feeling of daily reset. A stylish armchair adds to the cohesive effect. Next to it, like a private atelier - a well-thought-out wardrobe with backlighting and functional built-in furniture, whose industrial black details correspond perfectly with the elegant character of the interior.
Finished in architectural concrete, grey and wood, the bathroom impresses with its minimalism and ergonomics. Geometric flooring and distinctive black details - such as the walk-in shower, the rail and the faucet - create a modern and decisive interior that combines the aesthetics of the spa with the practicality of everyday life. The washing machine has been cleverly hidden in the built-in, while fresh flowers and bright towels soften the austerity of the materials.
Two large terraces surround the flat from different sides, providing contact with greenery and sunshine throughout the day. One overlooks the greenery and architecture, the other the majestic Kosciuszko Mound. It is a space for morning coffee, evening conversation and sometimes just a moment to breathe - with a blanket, a book and a pot of bonsai.
This is not a design from a catalogue. It is a space tailored for life as it is lived - active, sustainable, family-oriented and beautiful in its simplicity. The deliberate absence of televisions, the presence of plants, artwork and Japanese tranquillity says: you don't just live here - you breathe here. DD Projekt is behind the realisation of this harmonious space - from the interior design, to the general contracting, to the bespoke furniture, all shopping and full delivery logistics. This comprehensive care means that the customer can simply... live.
