About the project

Design assumptions

A masculine interior design for an 83-square-metre studio apartment in the Nowa Huta district of Kraków. Due to the small size of the flat, the main objective was to develop an ergonomic functional layout. The owner was keen to maximise the use of space and to apply solutions that would work well both for single use of the flat and to accommodate guests.

Key solutions

Therefore, a kitchen island with a folding top was designed, which additionally serves as a table for board games. In addition, the industrial design with retro elements was to be retained.

The owner's favourite colour, green, appears on the kitchen fronts and walls. Fittings and lamps in a polished copper finish together with the warm light colour add to the cosy atmosphere of the interior.

A distinctive element of the concept is an oriental countertop washbasin that reminds the customer of holiday travel.
